The Allardyce/Nolan Story
After spells in management with Blackpool and Notts Country, Sam Allardyce became manager of Bolton in 1999,

Within the next few weeks Sam was quite taken with a young trainee Kevin Nolan who nodded agreement and verbally agreed with everything Sam suggested.
Sam decided to take care of Kevin under his wing and a strong bond was formed.

Kevin showed an uncanny instinct for goal poaching being in the right place at the right time, consequently his limitations in midfield, lack of pace and creativity were overlooked and when he misplaced a pass he fingered pointed to other players and that made Sam chuckle.

Kevin who now had Sams ear questioned his long ball tactics
Sam replied get it out of our penalty area and into theirs and hope for the best and ,when Kevin asked Sam if the Bolton fans were happy with this style of play Sam replied Bolton fans were happy as long as they keep banging that fucking drum and eating chip butties.

In 2007 Sam joined Newcastle but that reign did not last long as the wily Newcastle fans did not approve of Sams long ball tactics and made their feelings known and Sam was out,
In 2008 Sam joined Blackburn Rovers and again that appointment did not last long and Sam was sacked again.

At about that time West Ham were going thru a torrid time, a billionaire owner who went bankrupt had left them in a financial mess, followed by two disappointing managers appointments left West Ham relegated and in more financial trouble New owners Sullivan and Gold and lifelong fans
realized the importance of getting back up into the premiership as soon as possible and wanted an experienced manager to achieve that task and consequently Sam Allardyce was in.

Sam wasted no time in getting his favorite boy back. Kevin by now had joined Newcastle and Sam not only organized a lucrative contract but made Kevin club captain. Sam achieved the management objected by getting the club promoted in his first season, but its worth noting that although they had by far the strongest squad in the championship they just squeaked in thanks to a late winner in the 3rd place playoff.

In the next two years West Ham flirted with relegation and the knowledgeable West Ham fans were getting fed up with Sams tactics along with his questionable transfer buys and made their feelings known in no uncertain manner, The management obviously aware of the fans frustration but unwilling to pay Sam off bought in Teddy Sheringham as a coach and gave an ultimatum to Sam to play sexy football.

Credit to Sullivan and Gold for making shrewd buys in the transfer market and making the midfield more effective and the strike force more potent, things were looking up and the high position in the league West Ham achieved surprised most people and delighted West Ham fans, but lately things have got back to same old tactics Sams stubbornness and arrogance has retuned and his insistence in playing Nolan who no only is slower than usual but also his goal scoring abilities has disappeared. in fact his only contribution is hugging the other teams goalkeeper. finger pointing and shouting at the ref .

Kevin had approached on several occasions making him aware that he had mumblings from several players who thought that they should be in the team instead of him .Sam replied fuck them I will label them as trouble makers and ship them out on loan, the majority of West Ham fans have never liked me and its my way of giving them the finger. Recently Kevin asked Sam what were the chances of him staying at West Ham and Sam replied that he did not know but he was not worried as he felt the English Football Association were fully aware of his incredible talents and expected them to come calling. What about me asked Kevin , don't worry lad Sam replied ill take you with me and hey as a bonus ill make you captain.

Secret Lovers that's what we are
Trying so hard to hide the way we feel
'Cause we both belong to someone else
But we can't let it go
'Cause what we feel is oh so real
So real,so real.

I think it could turn pretty nasty should he start on Sunday.

This is a fight Allardyce has lost and he needs to cut the stubbornness and bench his best mate.

Re: The Allardyce/Nolan Story
This thread is only 98% factually correct. Nolan will be here for another season at least. Other than that, the rest of the story is spot on

An absolute cunt of a thread that shows WHO at its worst.

I think Nolan has been extremely poor this season, but to deny his contribution in every previous season is disrespectful and quite simply wrong.
